This application form is for the SHEP Certificate in Personal Development course which will run from the end of September 2026 to April 2027. This is an 95 hour course and consists of 25 weekly sessions of  two-and-a-half hours plus a Personal Development Weekend (7 hours each day) plus 7 hours for Body Awareness & 7 hours for Expanding  Awareness Modules.(On two separate weekend days).

SHEP is committed to making its training as accessible as possible. For the Certificate in Personal Development, the following fee options are available:

  • Full fee: €790
  • Reduced fee: €490
  • Bursary fee: €100 (available to participants in receipt of social welfare payment only)

Reduced fee and bursary places are limited and are offered to those who meet the eligibility criteria. Early application is recommended.

Payment options

You can choose one of the following payment options:

  • Full fee €790 – payable in full before the course starts
  • Full fee payment plan – 6 monthly instalments of €132, with the first instalment due on accepting the course place
  • Reduced fee €490 – payable in full before the course starts
  • Reduced fee payment plan – 6 monthly instalments of €82, with the first instalment due on accepting the course place
  • Bursary fee €100 – payable in full before the course starts
  • Bursary fee payment plan – 6 monthly instalments of €17, with the first instalment due on accepting the course place

Participants may also apply for external funding from their employer, DSP, or another organisation.

Booking deposit

There is no booking deposit for this course.

Offer of a place

Once your application has been assessed, you will be contacted by email if you are being offered a place on the course.

If you are offered a place, you will receive:

  • a letter/email of offer, and
  • a link to pay your fee online

Your place on the course will be confirmed once:

  • the fee has been paid in full, or
  • the first instalment has been paid and your payment plan has been set up

Refund policy

If you decide within the first three weeks that you do not wish to continue, the first payment is non-refundable. Any remaining balance paid will be refunded.

If you withdraw after the first three weeks, no refund will apply.

If a participant leaves the course before it ends, SHEP policy states that they are liable to pay in full for the training delivered up to their last date of attendance, plus 20% of the cost of the remainder of the course.
